Cook/Chef for well-established hunting lodge. We cater to groups of 5-10 hunters. The hunts are 5 full days with all meals prepared as well as additional meal on arrival and departure days. Meal preparation duties include all meal prep and clean up for the lodge staff. The staff consists of the lodge owner and two guides. Season starts last week of October thru second week of December. The lodge guests appreciate an environment of professionalism, fellowship, good food and good hunting. The environment does not include loud music, TV or partying. There is no drinking or use of illicit substances while working at the lodge. References must be provided. The duties of this position include shopping and maintaining appropriate inventory to run the kitchen. Light housekeeping while the guests are there and duties on turnover day to include stripping beds, laundry and lodge cleanup as needed. The lodge is located in remote southeast Kansas. There are fishing opportunities, a stocked preserve with deer and elk, two walk-in freezers and ample peace and quiet. The lodge is high quality and our reputation is very important to us.
