Yellowstone Outfitters has been a family run operation for over 30 years. Experience and dedication has produced quality horseback hunts through 4 generations of outfitters. We offer trophy elk and bighorn sheep hunts within the Bridger-Teton National Forest and within the Teton Wilderness. View the Tetons from atop your horse as you leave the trailhead to ride into our wilderness hunting camps. We have two camps located on the headwaters of the Yellowstone River, Hawks Rest and Thunder Mountain. Both are in elk area 60 and over an 8 hour horseback ride from our trailhead. If the long ride is not for you, we offer hunts from our trailhead location in elk areas 70 and 71. Archery or rifle elk hunts are available. Bighorn sheep hunts are offered only in area 4. All camps will be in wall tents with wood stoves. During the summer we offer daily trail rides, fishing pack trips and scenic pack trips. Join us for a trip in the most remote place in the lower 48.
