The 2024-2025 Fall/Winter Wyoming Outdoors is in the hands of the printing company. Midstate Printers anticipate the publication to be mailed the middle of December. Thank you for your continued support for this project. A complete publication report will be provided at the annual Winter Retreat.

The Republican Caucus of the Wyoming Legislature met in Casper on Saturday to select their leadership. In the Senate, Bo Biteman, R-Big Horn was elected Senate President. Sen. Tara Nethercott, R-Cheyenne, was elected Majority Floor Leader and Sen. Tim Salazar, R-Riverton, was elected to Senate Vice President. In the House, Rep. Chip Neiman, R-Hullet will be the next Speaker. Rep. Scott Heiner, R-Green River, was elected Majority Floor Leader and Rep. Jeremy Haroldson, R-Wheatland is the Speaker Pro Tempore.

Sen. Dan Laursen, R-Powell, was named Chair of the Senate Republican Caucus, while Sen. Wendy Schuler, R-Evanston, was named Vice Chair.

We anticipate the Senate President and Speaker of the House to name the committee chairs and membership in early December. The Legislative Service Office will also start filing and numbering the committee bills drafter over the interim as well as individual bills be brought by members. At this point, there are no clear favorites to chair the House and Senate Travel Recreation and Wildlife Committees.

Buckle up, it’s going to be a wild ride.
